Arabic Keyboard Guide

How to Type

Our website provides an easy-to-use Arabic keyboard for typing directly without installing any software. You can use the virtual keyboard on the screen or your physical keyboard.

Each key on the physical keyboard corresponds to an Arabic letter. You can see the small English letter on each key of the virtual keyboard to know the mapping according to the layout you have chosen (PC, QWERTY, AZERTY).

Vowels (Tashkeel) and Hamzas

To add vowels or hamzas, press the Shift key with the corresponding letter. For example (in PC layout):

  • Shift + Q for Fatha ( َ ).
  • Shift + W for Fathatan ( ً ).
  • Shift + A for Shadda ( ّ ).

You can see all mappings when you press the Shift key on your physical keyboard, as the virtual keyboard will update to show the secondary characters.
